- Colposcopy
This may be necessary if the results of your pap smear indicate an abnormality. The procedure uses a magnifying device to check the cervix. - Endometrial Ablation
This procedure is done to destroy the endometrial uterine layer. It may be done via freezing, heat, electrosurgical, or laser methods. Ablation is used to help treat abnormal uterine bleeding caused by benign conditions. - Hysteroscopy
A hysteroscopy makes use of a tiny, light-transmitting telescope to see the inside of the uterus. We can perform a hysteroscopy to evaluate abnormal uterine bleeding. This procedure can also remove some fibroids, polyps, and a uterine septum. - LEEP
Short for Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure, LEEP makes use of a low voltage electrical current to take out abnormal tissue found in the cervix.
